Both caps use marine-grade stainless construction with a textured black powder coat, OVS True Fit vehicle-specific fitment, waterproof seals, heavy-duty keyed-alike latches, tempered glass, a built-in air vent, an integrated 3rd brake light and roof rails. With the optional OVS crossbars, the roof is rated 325 lb dynamic and 750 lb static.
The Expedition Pro+ adds a full-window wing door option with tinted, DOT-approved tempered glass that slides open, integrated MOLLE/PAL channels with an internal MOLLE cage, and a rear window security cage. It is built for the Tacoma and Tundra.
No for the cap itself; it uses a clamping system. The only drilling is a hole for the wiring pass-through on Tacoma installs.
With the optional OVS crossbars: 325 lb dynamic and 750 lb static. The included rails have a 19 mm slot for other crossbar systems.
Yes. Each cap comes with keyed-alike locks. The cap cannot be locked or opened from inside the bed.
A bulb seal runs around the bed rails, bulkhead and tailgate, and butyl tape is included for the bulkhead step. OVS notes that no truck bed is completely sealed; some water can still get in, most often around the tailgate.
On the Expedition, the window closest to the cab is fixed, with no slider or pass-through.
