2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma Rock Sliders

Bolt-on rock sliders built for the 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma. Cali Raised LED makes two sliders for the 3rd gen Tacoma, the Step Edition and the Trail Edition, and this page puts them side by side so you can pick the right one without bouncing between product pages.

Both protect the rocker panels and cab corners, the most expensive sheet metal to repair after a bad line on the trail, and both bolt to the frame with no welding. The difference is the top surface: the Step Edition adds a flat step for getting in and out and reaching the roof, while the Trail Edition keeps a tube profile for a cleaner look and slightly more clearance.

Step Edition or Trail Edition for Your 3rd Gen Tacoma

Rock sliders are the first piece of armor most 2016-2023 Tacoma owners add, because rocker panel and cab corner damage is expensive and easy to do. Both Cali Raised LED sliders bolt to the frame, not the body, so they take the hit and transfer it to the frame where it belongs.

Step Edition

A flat step surface runs along the top of the slider. It doubles as a running board for getting in and out and gives you a place to stand when loading a roof rack or rooftop tent. The most popular choice for trucks that see daily use.

Trail Edition

A round tube profile with no step. Cleaner lines, a slimmer look, and slightly more clearance when sliding over rocks. The choice for owners who prioritize the trail and do not need the step.

What is the difference between Step Edition and Trail Edition rock sliders?

Will 2016-2023 Tacoma rock sliders fit a 2024 Tacoma?
