Black Gap Road, Texas

Black Gap Road

Black Gap Road is a 8.5 mile unmaintained road in Big Bend National Park and is arguably the most well known off-road trail in the state of Texas. The route connects Glenn Springs Road with River Road, making Black Gap one of the most remote roads in the park, providing scenic views of the Chisos Mountain Range as well as wide-open vistas of the Chihuahuan Desert.

Joining us this month to tell us about their trip to White Rim Trail, @choe4x4 took his Tacoma through to this trail and shared their story with us.

What has been your favorite trip so far?

My favorite trip was a trip to Moab, Utah to Hells Revenge Trail and Canyonlands National Park

Favorite Cali Raised LED Product?

My most used Cali Raised LED product are the Trail Edition Rock Sliders, but my favorite products are the side-shooting Ditch Lights. For my next mod to my truck I am looking to install the Bed Channel Supports

Any Bucket List Trails?

Rubicon Trail in California, Poison Spider in Utah, and Telluride, Colorado.

Until next time! At Cali Raised LED, we not only want to encourage riders to try something new, (with all the proper precautions of course!) but also to not be too shy when it comes to checking out trails that they may not have thought possible. It's in our very slogan, "Rise Up and Seek Adventure." We really mean it.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

If you haven't figured it out yet, we've been featuring a trail or national park or other must see location each month of the year, and sometimes we are lucky enough to find other off-roaders who have been there. They are kind enough to share their experience and their expertise. Want to be featured? Have a trail you think we should feature? Submit your photos and story to to be considered!

What Trails do you think we should feature next? Tell us in the comments below!**
