Easy install, study as anything

Great sliders, I installed these with a couple buddies (which is needed because of the shear weight of these) but they’ve held up fantastically, my only note would be take care of them, if you like in a wet climate, any scratch will start to rust if not covered, other then that, they’re great!

Rock Sliders

Easy install by myself. Did have to drill some holes out a bit wider to fit properly. Love the look and they feel quite sturdy.

Solid

I bought these rock sliders for a 2023 4Runner TRD ORP. Both the sliders and inserts were bedliner coated. The sliders are rock solid. They will support the weight of the 4runner.
The install was a bit tricky, but not difficult. Each hole had to be cleaned out to bare metal so that the slider brackets would line up with the frame. Now the small brackets with two holes on the driver's side had to opened up with 9/16 drill bit to ensure a proper fit. I sprayed rustoleum primer on the bare metal to prevent future rust. Definitely have to use a jack and having another able-bodied person to put these on.
Just getting started on this 4Runner. I'm probably going to get more armor from Cali Raised.

Well built product

Fairly easy to install. Overly pleased with the look and how well built these sliders are. Customer support provided me with some links to videos which helped make the install easy.

Good Choice

Alright, these rock sliders are pretty good, welds looked good and strong. I got the bedliner coating and they were 100% covered so i did not need to spray paint anything, however due to the bedliner coating some of the holes did not line up exactly on the frame of my 2023 TRD Pro 4runner. easy fix though as i just drilled the hole out and then spray painted over the exposed metal. my only issue, and why this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is due to not including physical instructions with the product. the recommended install video is not great as it does not show every step of the install process. that being said its an easy install and you dont need instructions, unless you are just starting out and are new to how bolts, locking washers, washers, and brackets work. all in all i would recommend these to anyone who wants rock sliders that double as steps.

Quality Product

Saw the rock sliders at the Cali Raised Tent at the 2023 Toyota Jamboree, ended up purchasing them there and by the time we got home they were already waiting for me. The people in the Cali tent were really cool and knowledgeable. I was able to see them on the Cali Raised 4Runner at the event and really liked them. I also appreciated the tip they gave me about flipping the plates upside down so the nipples were facing up to give you a bit more traction getting in and out of the vehicle. Very well made product and very heavy duty - I needed a floor jack to get them into place. Took me about 2 hours to get them installed. Im sure others did it much quicker but half my battle was figuring out the installation. Cali you have to include instructions or post a youtube video. I went to this website and the only installation PDF or video for a 4 runner was for like a 2005. Then I came here to write a review and saw a video for a 2018. Why dont you put the link to that 2018 video under the installation section on your website. Besides being frustrated as hell trying to figure out the installation, it is a very good product and Im very happy with them. PUT THE VIDEO FOR THE 2018 4 RUNNER UNDER YOUR INSTALLATION SECTION OF THIS WEBSITE. UGH! You diffidently need two people or a floor jack and a lot of patience. I used two jack stands to get them close then used a floor jack to life them into place

Does fit a 23' ORP with KDSS

I bought these with the filler plate before they were listed as non-compatible with the '23 with KDSS. However I just finished the install today in the driveway. I did not have to cut or drill anything additionally. I did it with a 2nd person and it required a few additional steps. (Removing line holders and reinstalling on passenger side over the sliders) (Removing all KDSS covers and after install replacing them on drivers side) (Removing the gas tank skid plate completely to mount drivers side, than reinstalling) (Removing KDSS and brake line holders on drivers side, and reinstalling over the sliders) Some bolts are close, but everything was completed with hand tools only. For the drivers side we needed to use 1 of the 2 longer 13mm bolts provided to mount the top bolt on the rear support brace piece. With the gas tank skid off as well as the KDSS skid covers off, we were able to slide the bolt plate up under the line mounting points without bending the fixed lines. Used the provided hardware to replace the 3 bolts that come into contact with gas tank skid plate. Had some leftover hardware (washers and bolts), however there were no more threaded spots on the frame rail to use them so assuming just extras provided.

Quality Rock Sliders!

I chose to purchase these rock sliders because they were made of DOM tubing and Cali Raised LED was local to me so I can just pick them up. I wanted to change my order from a powder coat finish to raw so that I could powder coat my sliders in a different color, and the customer service team was able to make the change 2-3 weeks into my order. Very awesome customer service! Once I took delivery of them and got them powder coated, they were fitted on the truck. Fitment was very tricky, as if you didn't get the alignment correct before you bolted the first screw, all the other holes were extremely hard to line up after that. The slider was heavy and it took many tries to get the holes to line up. Lots of force from an impact driver was needed, but in the end, each screw was used and installation was finished without needing to drill anything. The sliders are built very well and have held up nicely during the last few months. Highly recommend even with our struggles!

Solid

I took advantage of the Black November sale and ordered these with the black powder coat along with the filler plates. They arrived within the listed ship time and were very well packed. All hardware was included. I'd highly recommend watching the handful of install videos on YouTube prior to install especially if you are installing by yourself. Install is pretty straightforward, and as some of the videos point out, I did have a few bolts leftover where the holes either don't line up perfectly or don't have a hole at all.

The welds look great and the powder coat is very well done. They look great installed and are solid as a rock. Haven't been offroad camping yet but they work perfect for loading my surfboards on the roof rack. I would definitely recommend these sliders especially since they are at a slightly lower price point than other similar brands out there.

I ordered the raw 0° with a top plate rock sliders. They arrived within the shipping window quoted. These rock sliders are a great quality for a good price. I bed lined them and painted to bolts for my top plates with my accent color.
