Carven Exhaust

Upgrade your Toyota with a performance exhaust from Carven Exhaust. This collection covers cat-back systems and high-clearance dump-exit kits for the Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser and V8 Lexus GX. Carven kits are TIG welded and built as direct bolt-on, precision-fit assemblies, delivering a deeper tone and freer flow without touching your emissions hardware.

About Carven Exhaust Systems

Carven builds performance exhaust in two shapes, and on an off-road truck the choice between them matters more than tone does. A cat-back system replaces everything behind the catalytic converter and runs a tailpipe out the back, the same path the factory system takes. A high-clearance dump exit ends ahead of the rear axle instead, so there is no pipe hanging off the rear corner to catch a rock or eat into your departure angle.

The systems here are TIG welded and built as direct bolt-on, precision-fit kits. Coverage runs across the Toyota lineup: Tacoma from 2005 through 2025 in three generations, Tundra in both the 2014-2021 and 2022-2025 body styles, the 4Runner from 2003 to 2024, the 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser, and the V8 Lexus GX 470 and GX 460. Because a cat-back starts behind the converter, none of these kits touch your emissions hardware.

Carven tunes for a deep, refined tone rather than volume for its own sake. Expect a noticeably fuller note than stock, with dump-exit kits coming through louder in the cab than cat-backs simply because the exhaust exits closer to the cabin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Carven cat-back system and a dump-exit kit?
A cat-back system replaces everything behind the catalytic converter and routes the exhaust to a tailpipe at the rear of the truck, the way the factory system does. A dump-exit kit ends earlier and exits ahead of the rear axle instead of running a tailpipe past it. On a truck that sees trails, that means there is no tailpipe hanging at the back corner to catch on rocks or to limit your departure angle. Carven builds both styles for Toyota platforms: the 4Runner, FJ Cruiser and Lexus GX systems in this collection are high-clearance dump exits, while the Tacoma and Tundra lineup includes both.
Which vehicles do these Carven systems fit?
This collection covers the 2005-2015, 2016-2023 and 2024-2025 Toyota Tacoma, the 2014-2021 and 2022-2025 Tundra, the 2003-2024 4Runner, the 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser, and the Lexus GX 470 and GX 460 with the V8. Each kit is listed with the years and engine it was built for, so check that against your truck before ordering. The Tacoma in particular changed exhaust routing between generations, and the 2005-2015 dump kit is specific to the short bed.
Do Carven exhaust systems require cutting or welding to install?
Carven builds its dump kits and cat-back systems as direct bolt-on, precision-fit kits, so most installs come down to unbolting the factory section and clamping the new one in place. The exception in this collection is the 2022-2025 Tundra Cut and Clamp Muffler Replacement Kit, which replaces the factory muffler and does require cutting the existing pipe, as the name says. Check the product page for the specific kit you are looking at.
Will a Carven exhaust affect my emissions equipment?
No. A cat-back system starts behind the catalytic converter, so it does not touch the converter or any of the emissions hardware ahead of it, and the dump-exit kits likewise replace piping downstream of the cat. Nothing in this collection removes, bypasses or relocates a catalytic converter.
How loud is a Carven exhaust?
Carven tunes its mufflers for tone rather than raw volume, describing them as engineered for sound, flow and durability with a deep, refined note. As a general rule a dump-exit kit sounds louder inside the cab than a full cat-back, because the exhaust exits closer to the middle of the vehicle rather than past the rear bumper. Carven does not publish decibel figures, so if a specific volume level matters to you, listen to owner sound clips for your exact platform before choosing.
