In this video, we walk through the installation of the Cali Raised LED Universal Billet Aluminum Battery Hold Down Clamp. It is a direct swap for the stamped steel factory hold down on any battery that uses J-hook, or J-bolt, style tie downs, and it replaces a flimsy factory piece with machined billet aluminum.

This clamp is machined from anodized 6061 aluminum and drops onto your existing J-bolt hardware using the standard 8.3 inch hole spacing, so there is no cutting, no drilling, and no new brackets required. The center section is relieved to clear your battery terminals and cables. Your existing battery hardware is reused, and none is included in the box.

Will this fit my battery?

It fits any battery up to 7 inches wide that uses a J-hook or J-bolt style clamp, with 8.3 inch hole spacing. Common group sizes include 24, 24F, 27, 34, 35, H6 (48) and H8 (49).

What is a J-bolt style battery clamp?

A J-bolt clamp uses two hooked rods that catch the lip of the battery tray, with a bar across the top of the battery held down by nuts. If your stock hold down is a top bar with two hooked rods, this fits.

Is hardware included?

No. This is the clamp only. It reuses the J-bolts and nuts already on your battery.

What if my battery is wider than 7 inches?

It will not fit. Measure the width of your battery case before ordering, since case shapes vary between brands even within the same group size.

Does installation require drilling?

No. It bolts onto your existing J-bolts with no drilling, cutting, or modification.

What is the hole spacing?
