Q: Will this fit my 2019 F-150 XLT?
A: Yes. It fits 2015-2026 Ford F-150 in XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Limited, Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R with the standard tailgate.

Q: Does it fit the Raptor and Raptor R?
A: Yes. The Raptor uses the same tailgate as the rest of the F-150 line, so the protector fits. The Raptor R was introduced for 2023.

Tailgate Theft Protector Installation Instructions — CR4467

Install the Cali Raised LED Tailgate Theft Protector (CR4467) on your 2015–2026 Ford F-150 using the instructions below. The protector helps deter tailgate theft by shielding the passenger-side hinge and adding two tamper-resistant security bolts.

Fitment and installation time

Fits 2015–2026 Ford F-150 with the standard tailgate, all trims: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Platinum Plus, Limited, Tremor, Raptor and Raptor R. Not compatible with the Pro Access Tailgate offered on 2024 and newer F-150s. Not tested on power tailgates; contact us before ordering if your truck has one. Estimated installation time: 5–10 minutes. No drilling required. Bolts to the tailgate at the factory bolt locations.

Before you start

Park on level ground and lower the tailgate. The installation takes place on the passenger side with the tailgate down. The tailgate support cable crosses the work area; leave it alone.

Installation steps

Locate the two factory bolts. With the tailgate down, look at the recessed pocket at the outboard end of the tailgate on the passenger side, just below the taillight. The two factory bolts sit in that pocket. Leave the tailgate support cable alone.
Remove both factory bolts. Back both bolts out with a 10 mm socket or wrench. Keep them with your truck. The oval slot and the plain round hole in the same pocket are not fasteners, so nothing else comes out.
Set the protector in place. Place one supplied washer on each supplied security bolt, beneath the bolt head. Hold the flat flange against the pocket so its two holes line up with the empty factory holes, and let the hook wrap around the hinge. Start both bolts by hand.
Leave a small gap. The protector has a little room to move. Before you tighten, set it so there is a small gap between the hook and the body of the truck, so the hook does not rub the body when the tailgate moves.
Tighten both bolts. Tighten both supplied security bolts with the included security bit until the plate sits flat and does not move. It only needs to be snug, not very tight. Do not over-tighten. If the hardware will not seat the way it should, stop and email support before you force it.
