Adding weight to the top with a diamondback bed cover, weighs around 130 lbs. Was concerned the sides could possibly bough out if I added several 100 lbs on top of cover. The bed channel supports were installed to prevent this.
The bed stiffeners installed as expected. The installation video called for the wrong size drill bit and when I called to find out the exact bit size, the person didn't know. So I eyeballed it and everything went fine.
Seemingly a really great product, though the install video indicated the incorrect drillbit sizing which led to some delays in the install to ensure proper fit. Fairly prompt response from CaliRaised and stoked to see how they work over the longer term. Only design considerations is that due to their mounting location the various "tie-down point", holes along the stiffeners, are rendered fairly useless once the tailgate's up as there's little clearance (new design, new considerations). Overall seem like a really well manufactured product at a reasonable price.
