Great while it lasted. The front camera stopped working after about 1.5 years. And the back up camera is now dark and glitchy. I suspect the relay is going bad. Troubleshooting it today. Also I did not get the front camera pictured here. The one I got protruded forward much more and as a result part of the black finish eroded off leaving bare aluminum.

I like the Any Time

I like the Any Time Cam so far. It was easy to wire together, and mount. I had to make a spacer to fit my after market bumper. Please note if you have a bull bar under your toyota emblem you may have to come up with your own mounting.

The best of the best Tacoma upgrade!

Recently traded vehicles. Had a 2018 GM vehicle. Found a gently used 2022 Tacoma that better fit my needs.

One issue with the Tacoma: The backup camera. It works fine, but as soon as you switch out of reverse, the camera shuts off. The backup camera on the GM vehicle stayed on for 10-15 seconds after switching out of reverse. I highly prefer the way that GM's backup camera works - especially the delay after switching out of reverse. I use that feature to know exactly when I'm far enough inside the garage so I can safely shut the door.

Then I saw this anytime front and rear camera kit for the Tacoma. WOW - I gotta have me one of these, so I went looking for vendors. Along came Cali Raised LED. The attributes I look for:

✔ 1) Obviously price...not just the price of the kit, but the out-the-door price.
✔ 2) A posted phone number to call, for sales or technical support.
✔ 3) A posted physical street address.
✔ 4) Products made in the USA.

Cali Raised LED checked off all of the above, so I purchased the kit.

Several days after receiving the package, I finally had some time where I could dedicate enough time to install the kit and do it right. Installation was pretty straightforward, presuming you're relatively handy, know how to solder and use heat shrink tubing (I despise crimp connectors and refuse to use them).

Unfortunately, the kit didn't come with any meaningful printed instructions. That's OK though, I know how to search the web. A quick search turned up a document on www.AnytimeBackupCamera.com. There are also some very useful installation videos on YouTube. I referenced two such videos (I highly recommend both):

Between the downloaded instructions and the two videos, I pretty much had everything I needed to complete the install. I did add a few twists to the install though. I wrapped the RCA connectors with electrical tape to make sure they keep a solid connection, and did the same on the front camera connector.

I also decided to install some additional USB ports in the center and driver's side panels while I had the dashboard disassembled. The ports I installed pop right in place once a blank was removed, and they included both USB-A and USB-C fast charge ports.

Once I had the camera wiring harness assembly sorted out, the rest of the install was very straightforward. I took my time at it and added plenty of cable ties along the way to tidy up all the wiring. It all went together easily and worked perfectly.

In all, I'm very pleased with this kit and the service from Cali Raised LED.

Solid product. Installation instructions leave much to be desired. Also, I cut the wires as instructed to Mirror Image for front facing application, and to remove the guidelines. Mirror image worked, but the guidelines did to go away as expected).

Works great, and even fits

Works great, and even fits in the camera mount of the TRD Pro grille from Toyota. but there are some minor issues:
1) the instructions are wrong because the camera is a different model (hint: you can rotate the camera in its housing to flip the image vertically).
2) the blue LED on the switch is brighter and doesn’t match the color of the Toyota switches.
3) I’d prefer a slightly less fish-eye lens for the front camera.

All in all, I’m very happy that I now have a front camera, and that I can choose when to turn each camera on.

Front camera kit

Kit came complete and is of high quality. Was nervous about taking dash apart but with good information on the internet it was easy. There is a good chance I will be installing this for friends as well.

This camera is amazing. I can see the road infront of me and know where my wheels are going. Love being able to switch to the rear view anytime I like as well. Handy to avoid running over campers at night at the lake - just saying...

Necessary upgrade to 4Runner

The Anytime Backup and Front Camera Kit installed easily and has proven to be highly effective. Its performance is particularly impressive during off-roading, where it provides a clear view of the path ahead. This feature is indispensable when navigating tricky terrains where visibility is limited.

Additionally, the camera kit has greatly enhanced parking and maneuvering around obstacles. It allows for precise positioning, enabling me to pull up extremely close to obstacles without any risk of collision. This level of accuracy in tight spaces is a significant advantage.

Overall, this upgrade has been incredibly beneficial, and I only wish I had made this improvement sooner.

Installation was straightforward and well explained. The quality of the video/ camera could be better but it should be sufficient to serve the purpose.

I find the amount of wide angle too much. Matching the angle of the stock rear camera would be more comfortable to view. The resolution could be better. The status of an upgraded camera brings a level of anticipation that this camera disapoints.

Easy install. Came with a different camera than advertised and couldn’t figure out how to flip it, Till I realized you spin the lenses around on the camera.

Front Facing Camera for Tacoma

I thought the camera would be better. It’s really fish eyed and not as good as the OEM backup camera that comes stock on the 2016 Tacoma. All is well though. Installation was a breeze.

Great product. It does take some time, and effort . Follow the instructions online and you will be ok. Routing through the firewall on the drivers side makes it easier. However you will have a lot of wire left over. It can be concealed in the engine bay area. Love the camera.

Basically an OEM Upgrade

Kit was well put together and all the wiring was color coded for an intuitive installation. The functionality and picture quality is great as well. If someone didn't know differently, they'd think it was an OEM option.

The best camera kit , easy installation , don't need too many tools , now I have a good view , love having the camera in the front , after I welded the wire 20 minutes at the most

The switch feels quite bad

It's like there is not stop between 3 positions to you have to slowly keep pressing until things show up right. There is no "click" between positions
