ICECO

Keep food and drinks cold anywhere with ICECO portable fridge freezers. This collection carries their VL Pro series from 35 to 90 litres in single and dual zone, the smaller aluminium-bodied APL series in 20 and 35 litres, and the portable power stations and battery banks that keep a 12V fridge running with the engine off. Built for overlanding, camping and road trips in a Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra or anything else you sleep next to.

Choosing an ICECO Fridge Freezer

A 12V compressor fridge is the upgrade that changes how long you can stay out. No ice, no draining meltwater, no soggy food - just a set temperature that holds while you drive.

Single zone or dual zone

Single zone is one compartment at one temperature - fridge or freezer, not both. Dual zone splits it into two independently controlled compartments so you can freeze on one side and chill on the other. In ICECO model names S is single zone and D is dual.

The two series

  • VL Pro - the main range, 35 to 90 litres, single and dual zone
  • APL - aluminium-bodied, 20 and 35 litres, for lighter duty and tighter spaces

Sizing and power

20 to 35 litres suits a weekend for one or two and fits behind a seat. 45 to 60 is the usual choice for a couple on longer trips. 75 and 90 need dedicated cargo space or a drawer system. Whichever you pick, think about power: a fridge will run off the vehicle while driving, but leaving it on the starter battery overnight is how you end up not starting in the morning. A portable power station solves it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between single zone and dual zone?
A single zone unit is one compartment set to one temperature - run it as a fridge or as a freezer, not both. A dual zone has two compartments with independent temperature control, so you can keep food frozen on one side and drinks cold on the other. In ICECO model names, S means single zone and D means dual zone.
What are the VL Pro and APL series?
VL Pro is the main range, available from 35 up to 90 litres in single and dual zone - the VL35ProS through to the VL90ProD. APL is the aluminium-bodied series in smaller 20 and 35 litre sizes, aimed at lighter duty use where space is tighter.
What size fridge do I need?
It comes down to trip length and how many people you are feeding, balanced against the space you actually have. The 20 to 35 litre units suit a weekend for one or two people and fit behind a seat or in a back seat footwell. The 45 to 60 litre range is the common choice for a couple on longer trips. The 75 and 90 litre units need a dedicated cargo area or a drawer system.
How do I power a fridge with the engine off?
A 12V fridge will run off the vehicle while you are driving, but leaving it on an unprotected starter battery overnight risks not starting in the morning. A portable power station or battery bank solves it. ICECO make both - this collection carries their PB1000 portable power station and a 250Wh magnetic power bank.
